Timeless photos for Idaho's
growing families
NOT THE JC PENNY'S FAMILY SESSION OF YOUR CHILDHOOD.
pressure-free, relaxed, playful
We're embracing the wild and silly moments, the giggles and quiet snuggles and everything in between. Those are the memories we want to make and keep! Family photos should reflect how you engage with each other, love on each other, and comfort each other.
Rather than forcing poses or perfect smiles, I gently guide when needed and follow what naturally unfolds. This relaxed, pressure-free approach helps children feel comfortable and allows parents to truly be present. The result is natural family photography that feels honest and full of life—images that reflect your children as they truly are and your family as it really feels in this season.

Hi, I'm Carly,
I'm a newborn and family photographer in the Boise area.
As a mom, I know how quickly the years fly by. One moment, you're bringing home a newborn, and the next, they're running off to their first day of school. My mission is to help you capture these fleeting moments in a way that’s authentic, joyful, and full of heart.
I love being able to capture genuine + spontaneous moments. I view my job behind the camera as a documenter, providing you with a freeze-frame of your current chapter in life. I've found that (with guidance) kids do best when they're free to be kids at sessions. This creates an environment that is fun and less stressful for everyone!
I have worked with many families that have children on the autism spectrum or may struggle in social settings. I am confident in my interactions with them and if this is a concern for you, please let me know so we can discuss further.
I will give posing suggestions and prompts as needed to ensure everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. My goal is not only to provide you with beautiful photos, but to also have you leave a session with a full heart.

FAQ
I'm ready to book! What's my next step?
I'm so excited to work with you! To begin the booking process, please fill out the contact form here. I will be in touch with you shortly via email or phone depending on your preference.
What if my child cries the whole time?
Meeting someone new can be overwhelming for any baby or child, especially when that person is putting a camera in their face. That is why my approach to all sessions is first making a connection with your child(ren) and from there, we follow their lead (with a little guidance), and keep sessions playful. Little people can have big feelings so please don't apologize for any crying or sad kids.
Do you help with outfits and styling?
Absolutely! I'm here to walk you through all of that and give suggestions if needed. I can tell you which colors, textures, and fits photograph well and what to avoid.
What area do you serve?
My home base is in Nampa, Idaho but I photograph families in Boise and across the Treasure Valley within 30 miles for no additional fee.
